:hacker_f::hacker_s::hacker_e: AND ALSO :lazer_b::lazer_a::lazer_e:•:lazer_s::haker_t: (which, if you missed it, is going to be integrated into the apotheosis, thread here: https://bae.st/notice/AlZ7jvHvGkQbrBwUKm )
The current plan with bae.st is that once the apotheosis is running fast enough that FSE is imported, Baest will be imported. This will not include DMs or followers-only posts but will include media. @j and I are ironing it out but I expect FSE's apotheosis to complete this week, and we're going to start the (probably slow, due to volume) import of bae.st's media and then the database. Once FSE ascends, it's not hard for Baest to ascend; this should be done well ahead of November 8.
In the mean time, there are a couple of options. @dcc has extended an invitation, and he is cool, he runs a good instance. Anyone else that offered in that thread, I don't know; feel free to chime in. poa.st is good, but registrations are closed until after the election; btrf.ly is now Gleason-Free™ so I heartily endorse the service now. @graf and @pasture hack on that shit all day and all night. For FSE, although I have said that fsebugoutzone.org exists only to provide :bidenshades: FSE Continuity of Government :bidenicecream:, I think this qualifies as extenuating circumstances, so bae.st refugees will be able to get invites. I'm going to set up a bot that gives an invite link to bae.st accounts that request it.
If I can swing full(-ish) support for PleromaFE and bloat by then, FSE will be Revolver and you'll be able to log in and register there, and bae.st will follow very shortly. The bugout zone will remain for as long as it has a reason to exist: if you wanna stick here, you can stick here, as I will be keeping it up because it will be useful to have an active Pleroma instance. (This does mean I will resume updating the instance. I don't wanna hit a moving target, obviously.)
The Prometheus stuff I was talking about is a dashboard I have cobbled together over the course of the Revolver development, and when I was trying Honk over Tor (non-trivial; backed out of it and set up the bugout zone), I rolled a .onion domain that started with "pbuh" totally by accident and :gnujihad: it is a sign :gnujihad: so I was trying to come up with something to do with it and I decided to just export the dashboard, so if you would like to watch the apotheosis with gradients and colors and shit instead of a browser emulating an xterm, here is an export of the Grafana dashboard: http://pbuhwjjhrzcvrghtfqlwqlgabuzc7jnkqv4swekxjvv7pgubd7jjoiqd.onion/public-dashboards/8643a3beee524385bd0ef6a304dbbd65?orgId=0&refresh=15s .
There are some other surprises due this week if I can pull it off. I hope to surprise and delight you. :revolvertan:
I hate shilling but I appreciate everyone's help so far. As I do not yet offer FSE- or Revolver-branded fish oil supplements, there is a BTC address if you want to help fund the operation: 1BZz3ndJUoWhEvm1BfW3FzceAjFqKTwqWV . :alexjonesrarrr: 14--freedom_of_speech.mp3
> Very nice! You are also incentivizing people to use tor.
Ha, mostly it was just the easiest way to expose a local service. It's just running on my desktop machine.
> But the apotheosis debug sesh is best.
Thank ye! Glad it's fun.
> This is like your server logs awk script right? This is debug info of the posts as they get indexed by the idiot.
Yeah, basically when it's going at a reasonable speed, the log output is an actual bottleneck. So, you can see the messages are prefixed with single characters, and the debug spew at the bottom represents the corresponding messages, it's something like 1/127th or something like that.
>//;,..;$;+;,/,,+/.++,+,,,$$;/;,//.//;;/. This is like your server logs awk script right? This is debug info of the posts as they get indexed by the idiot. And given that this is content addressed storage, it also shows whether it had to add something new or just create a link.
I keep wanting to do shirts; I was going to do an FSE shirt, I have a collection of screenshots of posts that I was going to use. 2600 did this shirt that had a blue box circuit diagram on the front and then on the back was this collage of retarded headlines about magical things that hackers would do to your computer, I was thinking something like that.
