   I never knew he was so full of shit.
   It's funny how naive this is in hindsight.
   
   Just because intelligence agencies can spend huge amounts of resources potentially infiltrating somebody's communications doesn't mean everyone should just pro-actively hand it over to Google or whatever tech company is popular today.
   
   The "privacy is dead" defeatism sounds cool until people realize we have had real opportunities to turn the tide, and let them slip away.

     @CapitalB cloudflare.... many people just call it crimeflare because it is taking over the internet in an underhanded way by saying they offer "protection" see https://notabug.org/dCF/deCloudflare/

     they also have a browser addon so you can detect 99.999% of cloudflare sites. you might be able to get it direct from mozilla but they seem to play silly games and only have the old russian one up last i checked. anyway the addon availalbe on that site is signed by mozilla, so them not having it on their site is just about making it harder to find because they might be racist (default language is esperanto, easy to change to english).

     Jeff cliff has written an essay on crimeflare and i think its called the "great cloudwall" ? if you can't find it tell me and i'll try to dig it up.

     basically your connection is being unencrypted by cloudflare first. its a man-in-the-middle attack but dressed as a protection racket, its not how the internet started. its part of a long running agenda to remove encryption from the web.
