   I suspect that a lot of white people in the fedi think if there were as much racism as Black folks are saying then they would see more of it. However, they're misunderstanding the nature of the racism. It's not casual, it's _targeted_. The racists go out of their way to find Black people and harass them.
   Since it's targeted, people who aren't the targets see only a very small fraction of it.
   Black folks aren't making shit up. Listen to them.

     I'm assuming you probably blocked him after unfairly calling him racist, but you should know..

     'digital blackface' doesn't exist. Blackface is a VERY specific action with deep meaning and when you call 'blackface' to things that aren't you're just minimizing the impact of the real deal. It's like calling everyone you don't like a racist. 🙄

     As an engineer I recognize that countering that is extremely challenging without a central authority approving access to the network.

     Subscribing to some sort of real-time blocking service for instance operators might help (its a spam mitigation technique in email)
