is it really worth spending the years of cocksucking it takes to get in private trackers for slightly better movie torrents

@sun @why I had it easy. I met a friend in 2002 (still talk to him on Steam, even after many friends disowned me because of Gamergate) who trusted me with an invite to an extremely private tracker site whose users freely give invites to all manner of other sites. I'm on like 20 of them, not including ones that have died.
I try to pay it forward by finding rare stuff for anyone who asks.

@why I moved to a dorm that was blocking annie may bites, and I asked on the forum if I should get a VPN. they said no no, get a seedbox. but I was poor so I had to DIY it. this pushed me into learning how to set up a linux server. school didn't teach me shit about fuck. and I am still talking to some of those people a decade later.

@why do you get off on the idea of being a cyberpunk internet librarian? also it helped me meet people on the forums and IRC, and it helped me learn about things I wouldn't have heard of otherwise.

@why interview for RED, then look for torrents that just have FLAC and transcode them to MP3. after you do enough you get into the invite forum. some trackers are really hard. I couldn't get going on KG until there was a freeleech day. every tracker is an incremental game like cookie clicker.

@goatmeal yeah but i really dont like the idea of spending time on irc/forums again, and especially around autistic jannies who will use any reason to ban you
