I know it's a game from 2016, but I never stop being amazed at #SteamDeck running DOOM on Ultra quality at a rock solid 60fps.

@killyourfm that game was insanely well optimized. It runs so well for how it looks!

@petit_suisse I think DOOM Eternal runs equally well.

omagad, I thought it was Doom Eternal. I was not shocked about the fact that it could run on the steamdeck but that it would be from 2016. 😓

@TeamLinux01 @micah Bookmarking this, thanks! Btw I've been running Bazzite as my Linux daily driver and really enjoying it so far.

@killyourfm @micah While you're at it, Jellyfin runs very well on the Deck and pretty well when docked.
If you want a more flexible OS, Bazzite is the way to go on the Deck LCD, although flatpak support on SteamOS is very good. I have run handbrake on the Deck and it encodes faster than my older i7 4790 while using a lot less power.
If you want to encrypt the storage, Bazzite has a `ujust` command to unlock LUKS with the TPM,which is pretty nice if you can about protecting your data from others.

@killyourfm It's seriously worth it! I bought mine right after they came out and gave my OG Steam Deck to my nephew. Best decision ever for the both of us! :)

And now I know! This is DOOM 2016 on Ultra preset. One is running on Steam Deck LCD, one on Steam Deck OLED. Both have their screen brightness at max.

The OLED has a higher framerate, a ridiculously better and brighter screen, and less power consumption.

      I'm in love 😍 😍 😍
