@porkcow @magicalthinking well, mistakes do sometimes happen, but what I am getting at is that good service is defined as not even having those few crumbs left.
Diners used to pride themselves on being immaculate, and the designs were meant to enable that while remaining open 24/7. -

@sickburnbro @magicalthinking I remember olive garden or somewhere going the extra mile covering the entire table with a fresh sheet of paper and giving all the kids crayons. I can't imagine it reflected well on the price of the food, because our visits were in the single digets even in 90's money.
Just let me swat away the previous customer's salt and crumbs like at BK. Whites never leave behind anything worse than that. -

@porkcow @magicalthinking yes, for sure, you don't need to clean the lights off every week unless people are throwing food at each other. -

@sickburnbro @magicalthinking Can we make some concessions, though? Some silly molding above the counter featuring grimace eating the hamburgler that only needs to be dusted off once a month, the backs of chairs shaped like Wendy Burger, a big fiberglass Moonman in a ballpit? That kind of stuff only incurs prohibitive cleaning costs because of niggers and single moms. -

@porkcow @VikingWays @magicalthinking it seems like most "fast food" is taking more than 2 minutes recently -

@sickburnbro @porkcow @magicalthinking What kind of poor ass people mention Olive Garden as fine dining? Have we all fallen this far? -

@VikingWays @magicalthinking @sickburnbro What restaurant has bowls of olive oil at every table for dipping bread?
And yes, any place that takes longer than 2 minutes to give me burger will be placed in the slow-food category and I will without looking assume every meal costs the same as a Darth Vader in an EA game.
