Chair!!
It's from IKEA, which means a bit of cursing & fiddling about while attempting to line up bolts with hiles by feel alone. I'm not flexible and I have a dodgy hip. But! I did it!!
It is very comfy & I already feel like it needs a name. I'll give it a little time & I'm sure its name will emerge.
Also the price dropped $50 between the time I decided to buy it & when I actually placed the order. Bonus!

My friend and I were literally just talking on bluesky today about how we both have MXTX and other BL pics on our pinboards, but actual framed pictures hanging on the wall is next level classy. I like!

I just noticed that there's a matching footstool that I really want to get, and didn't see before placing that order, drat.
I can get it next time I go to IKEA. But I don't have a car & it might be a bit awkward to bring back on the tram.
Not planning to place any larger order requiring delivery again this year, hmm hmm.

@TheOtherDibbler Yes I could ask someone with a vehicle to help. I might, if I get impatient.
But it's not urgent, and I already have some things picked out for my balcony that I'd like to buy in a few months. They'll definitely need delivery. IKEA's delivery charges are pretty reasonable.
So I'll probably just wait a bit longer & get the footstool next time

Table & 2 chairs also assembled.
I'm only getting two dining chairs for now. Might get another 2 later. Right now I'm not sure how I want to organise the furniture in the kitchen area so I can wait a bit before deciding whether to get more chairs.
Dining table is bamboo top with white (powder-coated?) steel legs & two cunning drop-leaves. Fun to assemble.
Chairs are a wood & plastic composite with a texture that I find immensely pleasing. And they're comfortable too.

@pixelcats I am being extremely self-indulgent and consulting no-one's tastes or preferences but my own.
Decided that I'd only bring things I love into this place, and would go without things rather than have something I don't adore.
I've already compromised a little, because I needed a fridge & a microwave. Just got cheap placeholders for now.
But! no other cheap placeholders or hand-me-downs that I don't hate but feel meh about.

@JillsJoy it really is! I've been contemplating painting the long wall of the apartment (where the gallery is) in a similar colour. Or possibly just the kitchen area. But that probably won't happen this year.

I needed to watch a 2 Kids Room episode again, for Reasons.
And noticed that the shape of the wing on the back of that armchair was similar to the chair I put together yesterday.
Which is because it's the same chair, in a different colourway.
I did not buy my chair for skz-related reasons, but I'm delighted that it has acquired a skz connection anyway
