     @kitten_tech @dansup @pixelfed I was about to suggest crypto as a solution actually. But the transaction costs for micro payments could be pretty unacceptable for most people 😕 probably only Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin would have acceptable transaction rates...

     @dashrandom @dansup @pixelfed nano, avalanche, and IIRC another have no fees and quick transactions and no wasteful mining; those technical problems have been solved, but nobody cares because the economics have been so thoroughly corrupted! I'm kinda hoping that something might arise that's just for fun and showing content creators you like them or something, so it actually has a use of its own rather than being defined by its dollar worth on exchanges and all that...
