He and the Mayor said this both AFTER the demon kid just killed a family's daughter. That really adds the punch that not treating evil enemies as they are is going to screw you over and get people killed.
I'm still set on my personal headcanon that Frieren knew better and let Himmel, the Mayor, and the village be shown how brutally wrong they were. -

I appreciate the perspective obtained vis a vis anime. Two eyes are essential for perceiving depth; and anime is an “eye” on the other side of the world. A thoughtful, detail-oriented eye. -

@SuperSnekFriend @jimmy_insane @Mr_Fuckers I'm not religious so I'll take a more "worldly" gander at his question, anime is quality entertainment and escapism, Unlike Western media it's made for entertainment and not brainwashing you into hating your race/culture, and asides that, ALOT of popular shit here in the west is made for kids or teenagers to quote Lucas "Star Wars is for 12 year old boys" for an example, so that's not a good argument either. -
