     @ArdainianRight Doesn't surprise me, since apparently some "rightwingers" have even embraced garbage like Brickleberry because it contains some un-PC jokes - never mind that it's a grotesquely off-putting, mean-spirited and overall unfunny show.
     
     This show doesn't look nearly as gross, but it certainly doesn't look funny either.

     I think Sam Hyde is a bit of a hack now but 2010-2016 era Adult Swim was fucking amazing and MDE was era-defining. I remember shitlibs in New York City watching it while it was on the air. It didn't quite register what he was doing to them until after the fact. We were in my fraternal brother's upscale Manhattan drug den. Now they know that whole aesthetic and angle by heart.

     The anime waifu shit is kind of a Japanese thing. Westerm animators have just never been that into it. Even well before the poz we see today, animation targeted at adults was more about fantasy and angst than it was about making a sexy woman appeal to you. Example: Spawn.

     @NEETzsche @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior Also, an adult-oriented cartoon involving cute girls doing cute things really shouldn't be just some common Japanese thing. I understand that this is experimental for American animators, but there's already too many Family Guy/Simpson clones.

     I think this will appeal to zoomers and alphas more than to older guys. This isn't a moral condemnation, by the way. I'm generally of the view that zoomers/alphas should be catered to, because they're by definition the future (pre-career, early career). Millennials are the present (currently rising into high-rank managerial positions). Xers and boomers are the past (retiring, end of career).

     I totally oppose boomers/Xers insisting that youngsters are beneath being catered to. So maybe you're right. That being said, I think the VTuber, anime waifu normalization thing is very much a generational thing. So, you should take that on board. The boomers, including those of us of the 30yo variety, are likely to find it strange.

     Don't stop doing it, though. But also. You should do it yourself. You'll understand how to make these appeals better than I.

     Worldwide waifu production is essential for the growing and varied demographic that's sick of butterfaced women IRL. It's a useful political maneuver if done right, especially for the brown people.
