     @sapphire I got it working by passing the USB device through to a virtualized Linux install and not dealing with MacOS trash drivers at all. I'm only on this garbage platform because I was assured Linux was coming soon for it, mea culpa.

     10.6 (Snow Lepord) was seriously the last best macOS release. It had sane work spaces (rows and columns), and expose expanded out all your windows. Lion only had a single row, expose grouped all windows and you had to expand them individually and you couldn't downgrade back to 10.6 if you got a laptop that came with 10.7/Lion.
     
     That was when I left my country and only had a macbook. It was about that time I started doing absolutely everything in Parallels VMs, one running Gentoo for all my dev work and one running Win7 for games (I played all of Mass Effect 1,2 and 3 entirely in VMs)
     
     I still have a mac for some testing and shit but I hate almost everything about macOS today.

     @sun Nothing works on Linux alone, as that kernel doesn't operate with at least an init added.
     
     You can get photoshop working on systemd/Linux with WINE, but you shouldn't run such proprietary malware and install a free drawing program instead.
