     I will say the animation is really stale, sweatshop-tier. any slice of life anime is at worst in par with it and on average better.
     but yeah, that's Amazon. that's the Fallout creators. that is how they create.

     I read the comic previously, so I do know the roadmap. the "story" is a bunch of drama with mild superfights with bursts of shock value moments to keep audiences going. somehow they did it worse in the show, because now everyone feels the need to moan about their troubles constantly. you can tell the writers are all from troubled families because they hang onto Omni-Man's reveal for a LONG time and cry about it constantly. that's basically this show in a nutshell, it's the writing you'd expect from a CW show but branded as adult because there's gore and people say "fuck" at any given opportunity.
     oh and also they're trying to do multiverse stuff. guess who this is.

     @bleedingphoenix @berkberkman @Arkana @weaf IDKIDC about any of it but it irritates me that I keep seeing that slop franchise in my algo now, despite wanting nothing but cool music and machines so I suspect they'll start a full press to make it more popular for the next season

     i was watching the new season of Invincible a bit ago with friends and a substantial portion of the show is everyone sitting around talking about their feelings. "oh i'm so sad because bad things happen, i'm sad because my parents are conservative, boo hoo hoo". well then they get news of an incoming alien invasion and they immediately take off to confront it, and they talk about their feelings some more on the way. then, when they finally get to the mothership, one of them pipes up and says "okay, what's the plan?" they were so caught up in their therapy session nonsense that they waited until they were IN BATTLE to decide how they were going to fight. modern writing is RETARDED, no one involved has ever gone outside and LIVED.

     "What happened to X after New Vegas?"
     Doesn't matter, it doesn't affect MY story so it's gone.
     
     This is the same reason the Star Wars books were taken out of "canon" the writers were incapable of fitting a greater reality into their understanding.
     
     Everything must be specific and deliberately created by them or it's better off gone. Zero actual imagination.

     And since we are at it, the damage of western capeshit: superpowers just "happen", Superman has the right genes and bask under the sun, radioactive this and that, super potion, and mutants really just happen.
     
     Eastern supers may have the capacity but they must have that will-to-power. Even Saitama, who should be a parody, did much more to earn his power than 80% of the jewish super sloths.
