     @lanodan i was thinking either https://www.npmjs.com/package/pako or https://www.npmjs.com/package/@obsidize/tar-browserify main reason - to be able to bundle stuff like wallpapers and setting presets, otherwise we'd get incredibly messy json on top of base64 in json

     @hj @lanodan you don't actually need pako, there are separate and pretty tiny libs for doing zlib and tar decoding separately. I used it for a project recently.

     Also, TARs were designed (at least, the name implies it) for sequential access devices, so they are only optimal for being unpacked, not browsed
