     I think in the interest of honesty people should be willing to admit that they're not ready for that kind of world. Most of us aren't.

     We talk a big game here but how many of us have held a gun within the last year? How many know how to field strip a weapon? Hunt? Fish? Not a lot.

     Adding to this. Get into shape. I quit my SSRIs, stopped smoking and killed my alcoholism in the stretch of a month for the sake of this. You never know how pitiful you are until you suffer from hypotonia and borderline anorexia as I did and you can't even lift basic crap.

     @Owl @bot @Hoss I think gold is a good long term investment. Immediately surviving collapse is important, but whoever comes out of it with money or power will shape the country that emerges from the dust. That's how the Kennedy's got big, land ownership during the depression mixed with organized crime ties. Collapse isn't just getting rid of the old power, it creates an opportunity for new power, and that didn't work out for much of the world before but we need to seize the next opportunity if we want to save our people.
