I don’t get why Japanese Anime Studios just ditch Twitter already and move over to Misskey. I have been looking at user numbers at thee official Misskey server has been getting about 1k new users a day, probably thanks to Skeb officially becoming sponsors with Misskey Io.

If the Japanese anime industry just ditch the cesspool known as Xitter, it will give a boost to the Fediverse, especially since most people on Misskey Io probably watch Anime anyway.

Sigh, the chief character designer for Re:Zero season 3 paused their xitter :deadbird: after being attacked for un-lewding the lolis. I mean, the original designs were bikinis showing underboob and sideboob godammit, that's not broadcastable in many places. They got changed to croptops and short shorts to un-lewd them, so should be fine, right? It's not like they were changed to full burqas. The lewdness was never part of the characters anyway, it was purely unnecessary fanservice. People go crazy over ankles and armpits anyway *cough Ubel* *cough Serie*. @chikorita157 I think they're more likely to join Threads.net than Misskey. Brand engagement, wider audience, and cross-engagement with Instagram makes it much more attractive.

@Conan_Kudo @chikorita157 Yeah, I don't think Misskey (or most of the fediverse) is like corporate-ready, but I think it's where small groups and indies should be at and likely where they'll end up.
After all Facebook loves to limit your audience if you're not paying.

@Conan_Kudo @chikorita157 Yeah, and I tend to not push for a fediverse for everyone/everything, things should be using open APIs and typically more decentralised, but doesn't needs to be all in the same network.

Specially given the pretty different cultures, imagine putting pixiv/skeb/… in the same network as facebook.

@lanodan @chikorita157 A lot of the fediverse isn't really ready for the rest of the world. Maybe someday, but not any time soon.
