     @stoner713 @TactlessWookie you can buy bitcoin and XMR and several other cryptocurrencies in convenience stores all over the world. download an app like exodus that allows you to keep your own wallet not on an exchange and just deposit what you buy from vending machines there to send. or you can use exchanges (dont ever keep crypto in an exchange tho -- not your keys not your crypto)

     @not_benis No we don't have an economic agreement like that. It's not that you can't send money to Canadians, but there probably is going to be fees and hoops to jump through, at which point crypto is almost easier. We use different currencies. There was a hypothetical currency called the Amero but Canada would never adopt that because it would mean the end of their economic sovereignty as they would have to adopt the US monitary policy.

     Similar to how G*rmany controls the Euro.

     Yes ACH are what you are thinking of, they are free (up to a certain limit) but are domestic only, you'd need to use something like wise or western union like the mexicans use.

     @not_benis @graf wires only make sense for a large sum of money or if it's an international transfer.

     And I don't know maybe your bank will just close your account, but the same can be done for credit processors. Fiat system is kind of fucked currently.
