It's not that you can't send money to Canadians, but there probably is going to be fees and hoops to jump through, at which point crypto is almost easier. We use different currencies. There was a hypothetical currency called the Amero but Canada would never adopt that because it would mean the end of their economic sovereignty as they would have to adopt the US monitary policy.
