You reaIly don't need Photoshop. t depends on what you want to do. At home on Linux I use Gimp. I've used it for so long I'm just used to it. At work (on Windoze) I use Paint .Net. It's free, fast, powerful, um... free. It's actually perfect for what I do most of the time.
Gimp broke my brain 🫣 I just don't have the time to devote to it when I can photoshop/lightroom/etc what I need. (And write it off on my yearly protection payment to the gov anyway)
I'm really, really good with Photoshop (had a design company until the Lockdowns killed it) - I need to learn Gimp. I simply don't need all the Adobe stuff anymore.
