Rapist Goku (rapistgoku@detroitriotcity.com)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Mar-2024 10:39:00 JST Rapist Goku This is my current experience in the industry but 18+ years experience. I used to always get callbacks with just my resume, never wrote a cover letter before 2023. Also I have a white man's name so they probably throw my resume in the trash immediately.

pro tips:
• it's going to take hundreds of applications before anybody even bothers to respond to you; this has been the new normal for a long time, accept it
• for every hundred responses, you might get one interview
• for every hundred interviews, you might get one offer
• everybody is going to flake on you in this process, as rudely as possible; expect to be ghosted regularly
• expect lots of timewasting hoop-jumping
• the best way to get a job is to know somebody where you're applying; your actual network of friend is how you get jobs
that said, it is worth pointing out that your network of frens (here and elsewhere) should be helping you get that next job

This has, is, and will always be the only way to find real employment aside from creating it for yourself from virtually nothing. Anybody that tells you otherwise is lying or enjoys wasting their time until they stumble upon random circumstance to find gainful employment. And, I do mean this applies to every profession and job imaginable. Even something as lowly as "dishwasher" determiners if their last one flaked/quit on them literal seconds before you walked into the place to apply for the gig.BowserNoodle ☦️ likes this.
