This has, is, and will always be the only way to find real employment aside from creating it for yourself from virtually nothing. Anybody that tells you otherwise is lying or enjoys wasting their time until they stumble upon random circumstance to find gainful employment. And, I do mean this applies to every profession and job imaginable. Even something as lowly as "dishwasher" determiners if their last one flaked/quit on them literal seconds before you walked into the place to apply for the gig.
