Two prints ruined in a row because the ptfe tube got tangled in the gantry :neocat_woozy:
I could fix this with a 3D printed pole for a cost of cents
Or I could take this as an excuse to build a voron for a thousand bucks

I'm surprised, movsw.0x0.st is a pretty cool and memorable domain name IMO
@roobre wasn't smelling ABS bad for health or sth?
In less positive news the eSUN Black ABS+ I got smells like a fucking tire fire
While printer goes brr I also took the chance to give go2rtc a try (as a replacement for ustreamer) and holy molly it is fucking awesome. Streaming h264 directly from the webcam yieds orders or magnitude better quality than mjpeg.
First ABS print after one decade went pretty okay. Layer adhesion is not fantastic (cranked up the temp a bit) and there seems to be a bit of overextrusion on small skin parts. My best guess is that I need to recalibrate pressure advance to account for the differences in viscosity. Will do that next!
Whenever this regular ass silica tray is done I'm going to start printing voron parts and see where that leads me.
Not gonna lie I'm kinda scared, the last time I printed ABS was like in 2013
@wolf480pl @piggo @mia I'm suddenly very curious about how you would pronounce that :blobcatThinking:
@piggo @mia @roobre
it's the one for memcpy-ing 16-bit words right?
@lanodan @mia @piggo @roobre
but movsw doesn't take explicit operands - it always uses rsi as source pointer and rdi as destination pointer.
There's also another way of writing it: `movs`, which takes two operands, looks at their size to figure out if it's a movsb, movsw, movsd or movsq, and then completely ignores them and proceeds to use rsi and rdi.
