Women LOVE rape fantasies and BDSM shit. Deep down they all just want a man who's stronger than them to show them who's boss.

@Weedle @EvilSandmich @William_The_Dragonborn In the 1980's, some Japanese cartoonists began writing stories about Japanese women being raped and enjoying it. It was very popular in Japan.

That was the beginning of anime portraying girls as younger and younger while keeping them sexualized.

I'm not asking you to "take my word for it", but it even shocked the straights. MSM art pages covered it. (I'm also not going to dig up a pre-Internet newspaper article. It happened.)

@LostInCalifornia @EvilSandmich @William_The_Dragonborn I think youre conflating the exploitation in "worldwide appeal" with "the made the characters more childlike (which you really still havent proven)" where as the much more reasonable cause of anime's explosion across the globe was that distribution methods became more streamlined (not even to talk about the internet of the 2000s) with CDs, fan-dubbing, etc around that time.

@Weedle @EvilSandmich @William_The_Dragonborn Um, look at any social media sites, and you find anime.

      Not posted by companies wither.

@LostInCalifornia @EvilSandmich @William_The_Dragonborn Oh yeah, obviously! I was attempting to work within the 1970s-1990s framework you had established, as our discussion was centered around the origins of anime, according to you, has nefarious child-predator foundations.

@Weedle @LostInCalifornia @William_The_Dragonborn I play a lot of Yakuza games and you can see the eye dynamic like crazy in there as sympathetic always have wide, shiny eyes while they’ll telegraph bad guys with beady eyes that are so close together they’re almost a cyclops.

@EvilSandmich @Weedle @William_The_Dragonborn Even here in 1970's manga, not infantalized. The worldwide appeal for anime came after they started with child bodied women. Mid 1980's to 1990's.

@LostInCalifornia @William_The_Dragonborn I dont have many interactions with people from spinster, so I did try and give the benefit of the doubt and look up what the hell youre talking about. But I think your just smoking crack over there in cali.

Far as I know and as far as I can tell, japs always drew things with big eyes, and animation from early disney which inspired a lot of the early stuff had similarly large eyes.

Also, you ascribe the "big eyes" to girls, most anime characters period have large/disproportionate eyes. Its a method to make up for the detail lost in the medium.
