aeva (aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place)'s status on Tuesday, 23-Jan-2024 21:22:02 JST aeva @Cassandra @beecycling A while back I saw some guy on YouTube who makes these really fantastic edits of movies where he does things like replace dinosaurs from Jurassic Park with footage of his cat. He also has/had videos showing how he goes about compositing like that. The sophisticated stuff people can do these days is really amazing.

Cassandra (cassandra@autistics.life)'s status on Tuesday, 23-Jan-2024 21:22:04 JST Cassandra I thought it was maybe a bit strange at the end that the front gray cat was looking up when the birdie is behind on the floor. But GAWD it's subtle.

It's still a very entertaining video though regardless of compositing.

BeeCycling (beecycling@romancelandia.club)'s status on Tuesday, 23-Jan-2024 21:22:09 JST BeeCycling @aeva @stinerman @Cassandra @cat @_L1vY_ Could be that the cat on top of the can felt the lid move and jumped too, so less weight on the lid, which would then push it as it jumped I suppose. So partly yeeted and partly a jump. Whatever, it made me cry laughing, so I love it.
