@Amalek_Respector @SuperLutheran Yeah, pretty much what @Godcast said.

Just because something occurs in nature doesn't mean it's intended or should be emulated. The fallen state of Creation means that things are disordered and thus even animals will present with behaviours that are contrary to God's design.

Animals rape, animals murder (especially monkeys), animals eat their own young, are these things people should be free to do because they occur in nature? Of course not.

Quit with the dumbshit take. Moralism is hostile to life itself.

The point is cause-effect. Actions lead to outcomes.

Some things are less optimal than others, if you can recognize this and do otherwise.

Most animals are just trying to survive.

Most people are just trying to survive their brains.

@Amalek_Respector @SuperLutheran @Crux_Invictus The first retort is theological. Just as many is in a fallen state, so too is nature.

Second, "homosexual acts" in animals is so broadly defined as to be completely useless. For instance, researchers have defined males in packs looking after offspring that aren't their own as "homosexual behavior." Most of what could possibly constitute actually "homosexual behavior" is actually just mounting behavior. Using dogs as an example, they'll hump literally everything if they're in the mood.

Third, these behaviors are so rare as to be non-existent in the wild. Homosexual behavior in captivity is very likely just an outworking of the disorder caused by a behavioral sink.

Fourth, fags will crow about how "so many species show homosexual behavior," while ignoring that precisely NONE have ever shown homosexual *preference* when nearby females are in heat.

I once got into it with an IRL friend about homosexuality being a cursed state of being, a form of abandoning God, but my friend retorted with “If God so strongly disapproves of it, why do animals have the capacity to do it?”

I don’t know how common gay acts are among animals but i didn’t have a very strong response to that. I’m assuming animals are not consciene of the activity as being in rebellion against God, so it doesn’t really apply ?

But i’m curious how to properly address something like that. My take is animals exist becuase God intends to use them in some way to make us realize how much free will we have and that we should cherish it.
