     @kirby I hate HTML and Javascript/Typescript so much. I can code backend for days, but the minute I have to start moving DOM elements around and learning the magical floating rules, part of my soul just disintegrates. It used to be fun a long time ago. I don't know why frontend web dev is so awful now, but it is.

It used to be fun before I knew about actually interesting challenges that aren't "make this button grayed out when the form validation fails, and make a toast message if the API call fails, but make sure it fades in so as not to frighten the delicate user"

     @Tony @kirby I've coded Angular, React, Vue, and way before those, jQuery. Javascript is just obnoxious in so many ways, even with the updates to it over time. The language itself, the faggotty community, the thousands of modules depending on each other when most shouldn't even exist. It's a game of "find some library, go to their site, look at them supporting the current thing, read the docs, copy/paste the thing you need, rinse, repeat" until your bloated, crappy site is complete. Then realize it only works on your browser and isn't mobile-friendly or whatever.
     
     Just a bunch of inane, soul-sucking, time-wasting garbage that no human should have to do. The modern equivalent of "go fax all these documents out to the clients with their own information filled in."
