With all these @IceCubesApp @dimillian updates to the TL for iOS , I’m getting a tad confused.
Whenever I open the app , after a few seconds it loads my TL to the latest post.
Why doesn’t it start at the last post I looked at an hour ago & allow me to scroll from that last position.
What am I doing wrong & is there a setting or something that will allow this ?
It’s getting very annoying & will stop me using.

Jokes aside, I completely agree, love love the smoothness of Ivory and the entire timeline UX, delightful.
The mentions/notifications merger is what I look forward to the most.

@habibcham @JRP69 @joshzepeda the only reason we haven’t done work on the notifications tab and quote posts yet is because Mastodon announced that they would be implementing both of those into the api. It would be a big waste of time for us to implement them ourselves only to have to go back and change things to work with the api later.
But if they take too long, we will just do it ourselves. We’ve just been doing other items on our roadmap first.

@joshzepeda @habibcham The smoothness of @ivory is something to behold. It’s so smooth & silky I would wear it !! There have been a couple of TF betas of late , but the only thing putting me off atm is the crazy notifications/mentions tab set up. Ivory keep saying it is changing & they’ve said that for what must be over 12 months now. Maybe I’m just an impatient old bugger ! 😀

@habibcham @JRP69 Yeah, don’t get me wrong, Mona’s way better and faster than Ice Cubes imo, I just find that Mona stutters a bit whenever I refresh my timeline and fetch news posts on my 13 PM, whereas Ivory is smooth as butter, anytime and anywhere! 😝

@JRP69 Ivory's smoothness is what basically keeps me hooked but not even Mona can compare to be fair

@joshzepeda @JRP69 I personally don’t find an obvious day and night difference in scrolling between Ivory and Mona. This may be dependent on your phones screen resolution I guess..🤓

@IceCubesApp @dimillian another reason why I haven’t always used as my default app was because of the stutter when scrolling freshly loaded TL. @ivory is beautifully smooth but never experienced the same with @IceCubesApp I notice now it’s slightly better, has this been worked on ? I’m using iPhone 14 Pro Max.

@JRP69 @dimillian Yes, disable it. It always fetches a fresh timeline and discards your position.
