   For #DecRecs today I'm going to rec having a tea pet! These are cute little ceramic friends that hang out with your tea things. I think you are supposed to pour your leftover tea over them, but mine just sit there and look cute

     @treefrogie84 @lookitmychicken I really enjoy mine! I have all my nice tea things on an open shelf so even when don't use them often I still get to look at them

     @Forestofglory @lookitmychicken i'd been doing very good at not looking at them-- i very rarely break out my tea pot, and definitely don't need a pet to live next to it-- but... they have a frog

     @lookitmychicken I'm honestly a little unsure. Some of them develop a nice patina after a while

     @lookitmychicken @Forestofglory I follow a tea sommelier (even though I don't drink tea 😅) and he has explained that they're for pouring the first infusion (he says that one is to clean the leaves). He also uses a double bottom tray and uses tha first infusion to water his plants.
