     @Awoo Gamergate was THE thing that sent the average millennial kid off his apolitical course forever.

     If it hadn’t happened, then most of the guys would have continued on like their dads watching football until the end of time, ignoring the civilizational questions staring them in the face.

     Gamergate is as close to a switcher for a gigantic train as you can get in politics. One track is our world now, the other would have been the majority of nerd-adjacent guys growing up without care for tradition, family, or history as they indulge in successive, addictive time sinks until their graceless expiration

     It's interesting how massive and wide-spread the pushback against GamerGate was. Something very fishy was going on with that. Almost like they were starting to crack open something very... judaic.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Awoo Gamergate showed men, that the first the gamer media, then all of the media, was just a leftist narrative chorus for the current year. Another way of saying this might be, the truth no longer mattered to close to half of the population if it made the wrong group feel even vaguely bad. Here 'wrong group' means of course everyone except White Straight Men.
