   I really hate the way they named a music genre "intelligent dance music/idm"
   
   Wtf makes it intelligent? Nothing? Thats what i thought nerd.

     @Mondobizarrro Like the notion of ‘techno you probably can’t really dance to outside of your head’ is such a delightfully challenging thing and giving a paradox like that a stuffed up fucking joke of a genre name like that is hilarious.

     @Mondobizarrro I love hating it, it’s just so on the face of it absurd. Other people call it braindance which is neat, and a perfectly serviceable descriptive drop-in replacement. I can’t think of anyone who likes the term unironically, or in a way that isn’t grossly indulgent in the screeching abject pretentiousness of it, or just a totally self-unaware way. The endurance of the name is probably attributable to it’s very grossness.
