     @cell@pl.ebin.zone The *oma/*key user on an X220 Thinkpad with a Japanese keyboard layout while the Mastodon user is using a modern Ideapad is very accurate I must say.

     @chayleaf@fedi.pavluk.org @cell@pl.ebin.zone The X220 you can not Libreboot without blobs. If you want a good Libreboot (Or GNU Boot as it is since Libreboot went down the dark side) computer you will have to get the X200 instead.

     @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @chayleaf@fedi.pavluk.org I personally think the X200 is the most perfect form factor, but that's just personal preference.

     Limited brightness is a limitation of CCFL backlit LCD's but really the dimming could be due to the age of such display (as fluorescent lamps slowly get dimmer over time until there's barely any light).
     
     There is still a bunch of LED backlit displays in the right side and FPD-Link connector floating around - the difficulty is finding such displays.
