     @eria @neko How about a part of incoming request handler? He shared it a while ago, I also tried to find a screenshot of his unorthodox implementation of /rvl/stats template, but failed. Regardless, screamshitter.club has existed for ages and had a basic timeline view for months. Here, I even attached a frontend to it so you don't have to: screamshitter.ryona.agency.

     i dont know what the second picture is doing really, is it a rate limiter? i dont know why it's named "Do", probably has something to do with the thing called "client" but he doesn't provide any reference to what that is so i'm lost.
     overall im more convinced than i originally was (i thought absolutely nothing was there), but this still is very disappointing.
     
     nekobit implemented much more than what's shown here in just 3 months(9/26/22~1/11/23 according to his Fossil repo) so i highly suspect he actually is working on something at the moment. he might be busy moderating FSE, but i still don't expect someone to slack off this much.

     None of it excuses that Pete did revolver for money. When money is on the line, that shit's different. im doing all this for free, i couldnt give a rats ass now if it comes out late, but i still try to care.
     
     but yeah im working on 8 different projects at once and i have a job now so its hard to focus on it. Im not lazy though, ive working on all this shit from morning to dawn for the past week.

     @neko @eria The current state is stable enough to serve both objects and uploaded media from a large instance. Litepub serialization is secondary to having a proper peer to peer network emulating pub/sub, and there's quite a few complications with both parts. Apparently he's very concerned about not letting any network-breaking bugs happen in final release, I could dig up more DMs but I wasn't given permission. You could've asked him yourself, but we like escalating hostility to the point of no return, don't we?

     @mia @dcc ok, no i dont really qualify him to make said software. the only code ive seen hik writing is pleroma mrfs, some Ruby code on github and some small C snippet from 10 years ago on debu.gs. none of them are really enough to prove me that he can write a whole fediverse backend.
     when did i concern troll? i simply thought it didnt even exist. you're misinterpreting my post, it wasnt even a long one, just a repeat of the meme where revolver is just complete vaporware.

     anyway i wouldnt ever care if he wouldve posted the source code to begin with, none of this wouldve happened. it built this stupid hype train that crashed into disappointment and broke everyone's trust. and I STILL think he was just in a monetary pinch and didnt write any code until like half a year later when the deadline was coming up. Why else would he beggu for donations without source code?
     
     8 different fedi projects have spawned up by then also Nostrniggers existed in like several months of work. i got a federation request going in 2 weeks (goes nowhere). Same guy who acted like gleason ruined Pleroma and called it "his project and community" when he only sent like 1 whole commit total into pleroma and nothing else besides his stupid "le oldfag desu :beeke: :beeke: 😝" memes. Wow, wonder why i have zero trust?

     @shibao @mia also i dont think i compared his programming abilities to yours. im talking about the objective skill required to write a functioning fediverse backend - which i am skeptical of. of course i now know from the screenshots mint gave me that he can indeed implement litepub, a rate limiter, and an HTTP request handler but there is more to a fediverse backend than that
     
     if you're also asking _my_ skill i can provide you a tarball of a HolyC webserver implementation, a port of TempleOS to Ring 3 and a loader for it that uses raw machine code to load FFI'd HolyC function pointers in memory. so yes, i can say i am skilled enough. but i genuinely am not interested in adding another backend to the fediverse

     @mia @shibao it's running on TINE - a port of the TempleOS kernel to Ring 3 with a loader running it, of course it runs on top of my OS so I can add sockets to it. HolyC doesn't always have to run in orthodox TempleOS itself since it's a language. what part of it don't you understand? here's the tarball - the Wiki software is in T/Server. You're free to examine how the loader is implemented - I'm pretty proud of it.

     @mint @eria @lunarised My point about the money involved in Revolver is that he does ask for donations in general (I'm not searching through his 100000 posts tonight nor do i care anymore at this point) compared to a good amount of developers that just do 4x the shit for free. He was getting ~$70/month (was it week?). When that money for a project is on the line then clearly you ought to dedicate some times into it and provide updates. Releasing the source code solves all problems because then patreons can see what's being done under the hood instead of this black box.
