@CatLord I hate how people say "The ends justify the means" as if it's an absolute rule. The ends justify the means when the ends justify the means, they don't when they don't. It's so stupid to expect agree or disagree with that without any further context.
@MeBigbrain@CatLord The logical consequence of not believing the ends justify the means in principle is pacifistic anarchism. Since no one believes violence is a moral good. If you can't ever justify violence then you can't defend yourself or maintain a state.
@nierenstein@CatLord I thought "pan-nationalism" meant nationalists of different nations cooperating. But the fact its on the identity and not the diplomatic axis makes me question that.
@MeBigbrain yeah i complained about that one to my friend too. i never understand how that is practically used, even as a hypothetical. "would you kill 100000 babies to create the reich tomorrow!???" like how do these types of questions translate into actual decisions people make in politics or life? they don't. people live an ethic and hew their life path with it.
@CatLord@MeBigbrain That's the problem with tests like this. If you overthink it you can totally flip your answer. I usually take them twice and go with gut and first run and think through implications on the second.
@Humpleupagus@CatLord@MeBigbrain Someone has to make a guide for one of these. Like an example of pro and con for each one as the creator of the test intended it to be interpreted.
