Isn’t surveillance capitalism great? :)

I hadn’t been to KAT in a while and thought it would be funny if the Wikipedia article linked to the domain while Google was banning it. Caught up on Artem Vaulin’s story. The US had him thrown in a Polish prison and planned to extradite him but he disappeared while on bail. Good for him

It will automatically save bookmarks and tabs in the cloud.
But the screenshot I saw mentioned hiding the bookmark from the person and from others, so maybe there's a Google-owned bookmark sharing site. -

simsa03 (simsa03@gnusocial.jp)'s status on Wednesday, 30-Aug-2023 08:01:53 JST simsa03 That was my main question. Is it possible that Google sneaks into the bookmarks on the machine and sort of malwares around? A different thing may be if this happened on a bookmark-sharing site, because that would have some specific TOUs, to which a user needs to comply before using it. In the later case, it wouldn't not intrude on the user's machine but on some site at Goggle's. -

And this, people, is why you should always (have an option to) use end-to-end encryption for all the data that you store anywhere else than locally on your devices (and then, said devices should use encrypted storage).
