     i would need a stronger anvil than i have to work with stainless steel rings for chainmail

     @bot @Inginsub @emma I only sort of know because I wanted an anvil at one point and did research. A bit of railroad track is your cheapest "good" option. Harbor freight and other companies notoriously sell cheap cast iron anvils but they're shit for blacksmithing apparently.

     @emma @bot if you like the shape and size of your current one, you can make a mold and have cast an iron one.
     find a local metal forge if youve never dealt with molten metal and give them your mold. def save some $ making the mold yourself.

     @bot@seal.cafe i felt the same way until a few days ago when i got my first anvil. now i just feel like i need a stronger one for steel (my current one is fine for softer metals)
