   We should have a first date thread. I think one of my fave easygoing ones is going to ikea to buy whatever furniture I need, with the caveat that we pretend we’ve been in a relationship for a while already so we can skip past the boring 20 questions intro you always have to live through. (I’m just tired of having 1st dates, they’re all the same)

   For ours, though, I’d agreed to take her to see the christmas stuff downtown since it had been coming up, and she’d never had a “real date”. I jokingly took her on a “practice date” pretending I was just helping her get acclimated to actually going out w/ boys her own age. The running gag helped her de-stress a bit and just take it easy. I was a total chump and took her to my fave nice-ish eating so she could get the whole “guy swinging for the fences to impress you” feel.

     We went to a secluded little park and I mentioned I like singing so she made me sing a song for her

     @DEERBLOOD @BowsacNoodle I pretty retardedly broke every single dating rule from day one. Basically every sane, rational choice….was the inverse of what I did. Right beforehand I’d broken, finally gave up on finding a good one so when I found someone lovable I just kinda threw caution into the wind and decided I’d grab onto the scruff of the bronco’s neck w/ both hands.

     I did not know she wanted to go to prom, let alone was I going ask my sister’s weird friend who was a freshman when I was a senior.

     No, I made fucking bank each year at prom because I worked at Burger King and would request Prom off six months ahead of time and then take bribes to take someone’s shift who didn’t think to request it off. Each year, I made about a thousand bucks for that one night.

     @nierenstein @WashedOutGundamPilot @BowsacNoodle Another chick, I went on one date with because my sister wanted me to go out with her friend.

     She gave me the heebie jeebies. And when I told my sister that, she told me to give her friend a chance, she’s really into me.

     And that’s how I found out that every time my sister had her friend sleep over, the chick would always sneak into my room while I was sleeping with a folding chair and just sit at the door watching me sleep. . . for hours.

     @nierenstein @WashedOutGundamPilot @BowsacNoodle Worst one I went on involved me not talking the entire hour, and she talked about herself the entire time, while triggering every red flag that ever existed. Examples of said red flags, including still being in love with her ex-boyfriend, her thinking she still has a chance with him, him breaking up with her because she was sabotaging their birth control so she could have a baby. . . at 16, and her saying that we should go over to her place for some fun afterwards, and I don’t need to use condoms.

     Oh, and I found out afterwards that she was pregnant during that date, she just didn’t know yet.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @BowsacNoodle I took a girl to a coffee shop attached to a really grimy gas station you had to walk through to use the bathroom. I then proceeded to chug a bunch of coffee on an empty stomach which combined with nerves to give me the shakes so bad I squeezed the lid off my coffee and splashed it all over the table. It was kino.
