     Kaiju #8 is fantastic. Like some of the best action scenes in current manga. The filler arcs between the battles are middling at best, but the art and pace of the big battles is par excellence.

     I just read the first couple chapters and I thought it’d be about her being a Middle-Schooler with nipple pasties and sexually molesting several other girls her age while discovering S&M porno mags and being blackmailed by a demon familiar using sexually explicit kompromat (Twitter’s favorite!) to do all this.
     But, no, it’s because “their“ genre is being made for people that are not them. And this likely won’t teach them empathy and sympathy with the plight of other nerds and fans of things, because their stuff is progressive while everything else isn’t (“and you have to point it all out,” too).

     Also, that body doodling was top-level. Speedy the Sea Cucumber, the shark, and the obscure Voynich Manuscript reference. Lol I wonder how many readers even knew what that is.

     @coolboymew Neither can I. So, I won’t. I’m getting really tired of “ongoing series,” since they seem to be more and more taking more than an entire human generation to complete, even without being long. Or, they are really long, but unnecessarily so, because the author isn’t good at planning, even if he/she has a plan, in the first place. Then the endings suck, if they happen at all.
     I kind of wish the ones that have been going for around a decade could just take a year or whatever and thoroughly plan out the entirety of the rest of the series and then hire several professional artists to work on multiple chapters simultaneously after the drafts are complete and just pound it out over a couple of years, instead of yet another decade with a chapter per month, IF THAT. 😩

     @coolboymew Waiting for DBS chapters is a little hard, and so is waiting for D-Frag, but Black Lagoon is all over the place. Rock needs to purify and wife up Revy already. Actually, all three of those are currently being dragged out due to incomplete ships (DBS with Mai x Trunks, D-Frag with Kazama and Takao/Funubori/Prez/whoever, Black Lagoon with Rock x Revy).
