I've just enabled "Always expand posts marked with content warnings". I'm seeing to many things hidden that shouldn't be (eg: a cute dog marked as sensitive). Will be interesting to see if this backfires.

Most people I follow, anything they post will be fine - but there are a few tech people I follow, whose outside-tech posts, I wish they had put a CW...

I don't know why people put content warnings on things not needing it.
I have my Timeline set to always expand. I don't think I've had it backfire on me yet. -

Alison 🇦🇺 (rose_myrtle@theres.life)'s status on Thursday, 17-Aug-2023 13:00:34 JST Alison 🇦🇺 @Aslanmane @RL_Dane @Big_Diggity wait - all of those posts are *replies*, which inherit a CW from the original unless you twig that it's doing that and turn it off (app may not show the inherited cw).
the CWs on those were most likely all related to the post they were replying to

No complaints yet. Thus far it's expanded the following which were hidden. IMHO I'd only consider 4. as a candidate for a CW.----
1. "Don't use Brave. Don''t trust people who tell you to use it either."
2. "There's no getting around it, pride is a sin."
3. "Wow, that was close! Cool checker pattern tho."
4. "I've only ever served in states where clergy are mandated reporters." -

Also, people who put Sensitive Media flags on totally banal pictures for no reason other than to make people click on them are ASSHOLES. >:(
That's not what that feature's for.

1. had a link that decried the politics of the Brave founder and 3. had a wordle link. -
