     Tradcon thought is just taking radfem ideas about men (being predatory, not caring about anything beyond sex) and wrapping it in a faux traditionalism. Note that it's very rare for these tradcons to expect anything from women- sure they talk all about how women should be mothers and get married, but that's all they do- talk. No shaming of whores, no trying to nuke dating apps from existence, none form organizations to help young men and women meet and start families. For the men, they get the shaming, the bootstraps, and the scorn if they fail to adequately submit themselves to gynocentric framing.

     @synapsid I remember Jordan Peterson once echoed a similar sentiment, it's a gynocentric idea that has plagued conservative thought for some time: women tame men's sexuality and in so doing make it possible to build civilization. In reality it's literally the other way around - by constraining hypergamy men socialize women to be mothers instead of whores. And so men groomed women into wives and mothers, then expanded their families into civilizations. The problem is that for the past 100 or 200 years the social order has fallen further from White men's grasp, which has allowed the rise of feminism. To tradcucks like Jordan Peterson, it's only natural to assume that the wife held the real power in relationships like they do today.
     
     In a healthy patriarchal society men have all the responsibility but they also have all the power. In a gynocentric society (which is always a patriarchal society in decay because women are incapable of building a civilization) men have all the responsibility and women have all the power. Jordan Peterson and other tradcucks just assume gynocentrism is the norm

     @synapsid From studies and the way we live, it seems like some twenty thousand, and more, years ago we developed the trait of men investing in the raising of children, as it seems that the species was almost dying out and that saved it from going poof.
     Think of how many other large mammals have the males invest in the raising of children like humans do.
     
     It's not women who control Men's sexuality, women simply control the sex. It's men that once they control it that they do incredible things that no woman could even think to do.

     Men build civilization, women make babies. It's just that a wife and a family, for most men, is the minimum 'buy-in' they need to care about and invest their work into society's continued existence.
