     Yes. You can speak in tongues but tongues is always a known language.
     
     You can see this when Paul says if you feel compelled to speak in tongues then you must have an interpreter there, otherwise keep your mouth shut as it does no good. No one on this planet can decipher that gibberish they are blabbing out.
     
     Also when the Apostles were first anointed every person heard what they said in their own language.
