   Ok, so a magic mushroom shop opened in Montreal yesterday, in the hopes that over time it will be legalized. There are such illegal shops in Toronto and Vancouver, according to the news report. No one knows who the owners are are where the money is coming from. Customers are aware that it's illegal, but happy to go in and buy some, as long as their faces aren't shown as they gush about it. Police are said to be monitoring the situation.
   
   My question is: why aren't the people selling being arrested for drug trafficking and possession with intent to sell? If it's illegal to sell on a street corner, surely it's also illegal to sell in a store?

     @Biff But while the were pot shops in places like Vancouver, there weren't any here until the laws were on the way. As far as i know, there are no plans to legalize the sale of shrooms.

     @Fullycaffeinated @Biff if it's not legal it's not quality controlled - I wouldn't ingest anything unregulated because they don't care what happens to me!

     @FeartnTired @Fullycaffeinated @Biff and my God, but if that stuff goes wrong it can go really wrong, if someone has MH issues to start with it ups the ante.

     They used to grow in the garden of the nursing home I worked in and we’d get the local junkies crawling over the grass looking for them, Matron would spy them out the window and then come and tap me on the shoulder and say see ‘em off, gel 😂

     @HebrideanHecate @Fullycaffeinated @Biff used in a therapeutic setting - that is with intensive talking therapy from a qualified person and controlled dosage - it's been working wonders for some previously untouchable mental illnesses. PTSD, Depression. they are looking at using it for more and I think a clinic just opened up (as in not just research) in Australian.

     @Fullycaffeinated They’re using the same strategies the first pot shop owners used, counting on the police to leave them alone while they rake in profits. It all feels rather dystopic, doesn’t it?
