     That's just fucking weird, honestly. We just drew a moat around something that we now call "expressive" goods? I don't even think the Court has that well defined, so there will have to be more cases to figure out what this really means.
     
     This is not how the Court is meant to operate...

     Did you guys even read the ruling?! It has nothing to do with “expensive” goods .. it has to do with compelled speech.

     Let me explain the situation in terms you can understand it: You run a business that makes custom works of art. Some asks for a big mural that has black suns, nazi symbols, and jews/blacks slaughtered under the feet of a Norwegian goddess.

     Should you be legally required to create the piece of art? If you don’t take the job, are you discriminating against them?

     Specifically, this case was about custom web design. Same fucking thing. It’s the exact same situation as the baker and the cake. If you just sold generic goods and refused to sell to person x because they’re a Nazi or Gay (same difference), that’s an entirely different case.

     We’re talking about custom commissioned art that falls into the grounds of compelled speech.

     Well I'm talking about the law, not what should or shouldn't. Specifically we're talking about the civil rights act (which prevents you from discriminating based on race/sex/etc.) vs the 1st amendment (compelled speech in this case).
     
     Basically, human rights won and the leftist morons have lost their shit over it.

     Speech is literally the very first human right defined in the US constitution. It is the foundation for all other rights.
     
     Abortion is about competing rights. Look if you're pro baby murder, just say "baby murder rules should be federal." Personally, I'm fine with baby murder up to 15 weeks, but only if you call it baby murder, and stop saying bullshit like "women's health" or "autonomy"
     
     The two decisions aren't remotely comparable. Speech has long been consider settled law. Courts have mostly sided with broad definitions of speech and citizens have elected representatives that have advocated the same.
     
     Roe v Wade was never morally settled. It did not come about through legislation. America has never been unified from a moral perspective on it. Cases came up ever 2~3 years. Cassy v Planned Parenthood didn't settle it. So no, America does not agree in the slightest on where life begins.
     
     You're talking about two morally compatible arguments. It's like comparing man slaughter and jay-walking.

     Address the original argument. If you were an artist that took commissioned works, and someone came in wanting a painting of Chinese people murdering Jamaica in a bloodbath on a beach on an oil canvas and you had that skill ... should you be required by law to paint their commissioned work? or is it discrimination?
