Phenomenally based.
tl;dr: Facebook trying to save money by not having human reviews of bans is about to cost them $50k for a false positive.
And they likely would not have lost if they.... Responded to the lolsuit.

cost them $50k
so essentially nothing
@coin
What's funny is that I outright made fun of a guy I know for talking about suing Facebook for suspending him for a month for making death threats.
Obviously these cases are way different, but Facebook just ignoring summons changes the calculus quite a bit
@coin
I feel like this ends with them sending a lawyer and saying "oh man we had no idea, we get so many horseshit pro se lawsuits all the time and we just ignore those, let us have another go at it" and they'll get it.
What will be absolutely hilarious is if the judge tacks on punitive damages for ignoring a judgment and eventually dude gets to fucking garnish Facebook
@Tony @coin @bot >office in his state
how about a datacenter lmao
"just start unracking equipment until I hit 50k omegalul"
@coin @Tony @InceptionState @bot Again, I'd just start unracking servers until I hit 50k. So that's like 5-20 servers depending on how decked out they are
@InceptionState @coin @Tony @bot That's so fucking based.
Shit's not quite "real" until someone you owe money to shows up with two sheriff's deputies, a u-haul, and a court order authorizing a shopping spree
@bot @coin @Tony @InceptionState The bofa guy was cut a check. He more or less got money out of the vault, just electronically.
At the end of the day, bofa owed him $2,500 (lmao) and when the sheriff's office showed up with dude and a moving van, they cut him a check.
