The more I explore #Kbin, the more I realise that redditors and subreddit communities who chose #Lemmy are missing a lot from the #Fediverse.
Two examples:
1. Lemmy instances are not seeing Kbin instances. So, no Kbin users, Kbin replies, etc.
However, Kbin instances can see Lemmy instances. Kbin users can see Lemmy content and discuss. But Lemmy isn't seeing anyone from Kbin, so there is a disconnect in the discussion.
2. You won't see the fediverse on Lemmy. But in Kbin, you can see it through the “Microblog” tab/feature.
Basically, Lemmy is #Wordpress or #Drupal with an #ActivityPub plugin. If you don't have a non-Lemmy account, you will never know what you are missing. It's like a semi-siloed or semi-walled garden software.
Sure, the fediverse can post and reply in a Lemmy community. But those with only a Lemmy account, they only see whatever is available in their instance.
In Kbin, you can also setup a “Magazine” to watch out for certain tags/keywords and make it appear in its “microblog” tab/section.
This way, a user also has an option to see, and interact, with the rest of the fediverse. They don't need to create an account in a non-Kbin instance. It's right there, in Kbin, a click away.

#2 alone is more than enough reason for me to pick Kbin over Lemmy.
You get more interaction. You see more content.
So, yeah, a huge plus for Kbin.
