@Jens_Rasmussen It's just regular manga. They put huge black squares on bikini shots and on a girl with jeans because you could see vagina bones in the drawings.
They also use three different in-app currencies, and charge microtransactions for new chapters in manga. It's literally the worst way to release your manga to the world.

@JapanAnon Is this a pornography thing, or something else?

@JapanAnon Simple solution: release a browser-based webapp to get around their stupid policies.
Microshaft did that even back when they were still running the smartphone version of WinDOS 10.
Additional advantage of self-releasing a browser webapp over publishing a smartphone app is that real computer users can make use of it too, so a wider market is available!

@JapanAnon I'm against turning the web into yet another operating system within an operating system, but at least there's no reliance on a central AUTHORITAH!!, at least not yet considering Cuckflare and Amazon's conspiracy to centralize the entire internet.
So if the choice was between web apps and mobile apps, then web apps are definitely the lesser evil.

@ryo I know I shouldn't be surprised that they would walk right into this, but I still am. It's like watching a clown fall down the stairs... it never stops being funny yet kind of sad at the same time.

@lewdthewides @djsumdog @Jens_Rasmussen I have zero experience with camel jockeys or their countries, but I get the impression the repressive Sharia bullshit doesn't make people more pious, it just makes them more repressed and have weak, poorly developed impulse control.
So there's probably a huge demand for fappable manga there, just the morality police need to bring the hammer down ten times as hard just to keep their population of mental children from erupting into chaos.

@djsumdog @JapanAnon @Jens_Rasmussen saudi princes are horney as fuck weebs. There is a market there, and I'm sure they pirate everything like everyone else.
Corporations still don't see piracy as competition. They half-ass any legit service they create and expect the law to funnel customers towards them

@Jens_Rasmussen @lewdthewides @JapanAnon they can't possibly have a market there, can they?

@lewdthewides @JapanAnon Muslim countries were also what sprung to my mind when I saw "bikinis censored".

@Jens_Rasmussen @JapanAnon this is what happens when you only give enough fucks to make 1 version and you care about saudi arabia. That's the only logical explanation I can come up with

@JapanAnon What the fuck, man? Why are companies so retarded?
Don't censor yourself, just don't sell to countries that don't allow skimpy outfits such as bikinis, if it's a legal issue.

@Heil_Honkler I keep trying to tell people that, but they don't listen.

@JapanAnon Oh no how horrible. Guess I will have to continue reading on pirate sites.
Although I do buy physical copies of series I enjoy, problem is there are a bunch that don't get translated or the quality is subpar to that of a scanlating group.
Really wish more mangaka would have ways to donate directly to them and cut out the middle men.

@JapanAnon @Jens_Rasmussen
The microtransaction shit is even worse given that they don't actually sell you full chapters.
Instead, they cut the chapters into "sub-chapters", where each one is roughly 5-8 pages or so. Then they charge you for each and every one of those subchapters individually.
Also, you're not actually buying the manga either. You're renting it for just 3 days.
Ain't the new global corporate dystopia fantastic? :vomit:
