     @51rH0n3y84d93r @Nelenese for each person that spends UBI on drugs there will be 100 who use it to not become homeless drug addicts and to me thats worth it

     as a former homeless I understand the appeal. no one will hire you because your address is a shelter. why not do crack?

     @51rH0n3y84d93r @Nelenese they're cracked out because their homeless. You have more in common with them and are closer to being in that position yourself than you are to any elected official or rich person. Only through both of you accepting each other can the real enemy be dispatched

     @vriska @Nelenese I've seen firsthand what the housing-first strategy has caused. It feels eerily similar to the "projects" earlier in the last century. If you house the cracked out, they still do drugs. Washington and Oregon have effectively legalized all drugs, and Oregon is looking at giving some UBI to select homeless. I predict more dead as a result.

     @Nelenese rightoids are guilty of this too. Instead of blaming banks and the government and the hyperrich policy makers, they decide the reason their life is bad is because of the homeless black trans person

     I genuinely believe the feds saw how effective and united (early) occupy protestors were and decided to not only sabotage those specific protests but come up with a billion bullshit inconsequential reasons for working class people to hate each other over postmodern ideas on identity
