     From a UI standpoint, navigation buttons on the side instead of bottom of the mobile app would improve scrolling efficiency.

     @alex @meso @paulo @Inginsub @cassidyclown Wrong, pleroma users like large buttons too.. i actually patched these massive buttons back when the notification bar was on one side only to be slim.
     
     A compact mode for smaller screens isn't a terrible idea?? you just... uh, chop some padding off or something. maybe even make it a hack that just throws some CSS in. can't be that hard :^)

     i'm talking something like this. literally a laptop mode... which just cuts some extra crust (obviously the banner on the bottom wouldn't be there)
