After 14 hours without electricity in most of Spain, we are now back online in #Granada. Lots of panic here in the city. Some decided to make the most of it and party, some decided to prepare for the worst and look after their closest. Some worried about work and deadlines. Some played cards and admired the stars. Among other things, I helped an elderly neighbour break back into her apartment with an old London Transport Oyster card.

Lots of questions remain ...

One less customer for Microsoft, one more user for quality, free, libre and open source office software, without the annoying, planet-burning AI.

@JRepin I know WordPress has an ActivityPub plugin under active development, allowing posts to be posted to the Fediverse, the blog to be followed as an account on the Fediverse, and comments under Fediverse posts to be displayed as comments under the blog posts on the original blog page.

Perusing the science news this morning, as I do, I came across an interesting article about scientists finding an effect of menthol on Alzheimer's disease. Anecdotally, my nan had a obsession for sucking on boiled mints, which only grew with her sad decline.

I remember worrying that maybe the mints were making her worse, but maybe it was her way of fighting back against the disease ...

Give people an easy to mute hashtag if they've had enough of it, like #KMFMusic, and let them know they can mute it?

Then they can always come back and check if they want.

I think it's normal to express your whole complex multifaceted personality. If you have a particular passion, it's normal to express that too.

If I had a profile for every one of my interests, I'd have a hundred profiles! 😅
