A quiz question today:

"What's the closest planet to Earth?"

All hell broke loose.

In the end, all 3 answers that people gave had to be accepted as "correct" because technically they were all right.

Venus. Mars. And *Mercury*.

That science fact fucked me up real good.

One of my colleagues said his 13yo daughter started her period yesterday for the first time in her life.

My other colleague (45m) was horrified and didn't like hearing the word period.

So I talked about periods. And asked about periods. And explained about periods. And used the word period 7 or 8 times. This dude's got young daughters as well... Anyway.

Then we talked about Shark Week.

- Walking in the sunshine to post a Mother's Day card (on time!) and coming home with sushi.

- Trying clothes in a new style more befitting my personality and they all fit, look great, and are super comfy. One is an oversized jumper with a big dinosaur on it.

- Got promoted to assistant instructor at my martial arts class. It's a simple thing anyone can do but this means a hell of a lot to me.

I really enjoy that toot about which pocket people keep their phone in.

Every reply I could see was from a man saying left, right, or back pocket.

I commented, "you guys have pockets?!" and all the people who liked it were women.

Fuck gendered clothing. GIVE ME WORKING POCKETS.

I *think* I've just made the move from Chrome to Firefox on both phone and PC. It was way easier than I expected.

I downloaded Firefox and it asked me if I wanted it to be my default browser and if it should bring everything over from Chrome.

I said yes.

It did.

Was that really it all it took?!

Have I already done a morning shift at work #today? Yes, but I've just had a cup of tea and my day starts now.

Coming back from work is not "Monday: completed!"

Monday is just getting started with all the stuff I want to do. Let's do this.

Well.... That "afternoon" of work only took half an hour sooooo.... Ok then.

Tomorrow I buy fence paint.

I think today should be a book-reading day (she says, right before bed).

Work was awful. I'm in training, and will be for about 18 months or so, so I'm constantly under evaluation and I'm really hard on myself.

Tea made it better. Now I need to unclench the tension band around my brain. Reading something is the best way I can think of to do that but I'll accept any and all suggestions! How do people get mental rest?

#Today I booked a holiday, I ate fruit and I didn't embarrass myself at work. Those are #3GoodThings.

Really hoping for a properly long sleep tonight but if it's anything like the last 2 nights, I'm going to wake up at 3am for a couple of hours. Luckily, today is my Friday and my "weekend" starts now. Here is my frog.
