@futurebird I saw these llareta in Atacama and they were absolutely incredible. Alien. (They’re endangered now because they grow so slowly and miners harvested them for fuel)

wow, turns out Pixelmator is actually really great for making pixel-aligned vector SVGs

specifically, all the vector tools snap to the pixel grid in the UI, and dimensions, coordinates, stroke widths, etc are written out as integers in the resulting SVG

@thomasfuchs @janl I’m sympathetic to the HOA problem here, but also one of the first posts I saw on Bluesky was someone derisively mocking the Mastodon experience (with a screenshot of an unrepresentative toot!)

I’ll probably check in from time to time but tbh I don’t see myself posting on a platform that’s blockchain-adjacent and owned by Dorsey

They’ve made some interesting decisions. E.g. I like the way the timeline shows replies by everyone you follow. I remember finding lots of interesting people when Twitter worked that way
