HUERTA responded "what are you going to do, you can't arrest all of us." This indicated to me that he and the others had planned in advance of arrival to disrupt the operation.

@thomasfuchs I am still guarded about this line of thought. They stuck with him after losing 4 years ago. I just don’t know if there is anyone left to turn that ship around. Especially with folks like Desantis in the wings.

@evan I am never going to understand this desire for people to not be social on a social media app.

@david_megginson @evan I recently saw the touring version of Hamilton. Our auditorium used the GalaPro app to provide closed captions throughout the performance. I am not deaf but have a difficult time understanding higher pitched tones, and in parts of Hamilton the speed rap. I was really impressed with the service. Haven’t been to a movie in ages, but if this type of service is now available I will consider going back.

To me, the question is: Which of these should AP servers prioritize when choosing a storage method for media: Cost minimizing for hosters, resiliency of media availability, ability to eliminate illegal content I.e CSAM (host ability to delete), right to forget (poster ability to delete).

I suspect there is no technology that prioritizes all of those things.

@evan you definitely have given me something to think about. I chose often, but I think that’s because I look at the social web more like a party. Yes, it is rude to respond to someone’s statement and completely ignore what was said and start something unrelated. But part of what makes conversation happen is the ebb and flow. If I were having a conversation in real life, I wouldn’t walk away from one conversation to start talking about a different subject they might be interested in

@evan this is precisely how I took the poll and why I voted strongly agree. Honestly, I’m a bit shocked in the sentiment that it should not be built for individuals to host and maintain their own servers.

@evan Why is it Biden’s responsibility to prepare a successor? That is not how our competitive electoral system works. If people wanted other options they should have started organizing and building political power decades ago to be in a position to run credibly now (or more accurately run 4 years ago since the odds of winning a primary against an incumbent are astronomical).

@evan I suspect the question may be rhetorical and you are not really looking for an answer on how to tell someone they are supporting genocide. For what it is worth, my answer is: I will start by simply linking to this thread.

@thomasfuchs I am wondering if that last part is going to be harder to find then the Arizona heat compatible part. Desert rats will eat anything.
